Post by weber235 »

Hi,
I decide between TBS5580 or TBS5520SE with PC i5, 8MB RAM, GTX 560Ti ?
I have a dish antenna with motor - Digipower SG-2100
Thank you in advance

At 5580; in addition, there is a CI slot. Other features are the same.

Got both, 5520SE is for me a nice device, because it does not need an additional power supply, using just two USB ports (for me works even on one USB 3.0). But there's a catch - if you would like to move your motorized dish, I think that 5580 with addidional power supply is safer. Didn't tested DiSEqC motors.

Beside that as said @serkanguzel - receiving possibilities seems to be the same, 5580 got CI (but CI at this moment will not work with AltDVB).

I also agree that the 5580 is safer for the use of Diseqc Motor Dish.
